Here are the outdoor and nature events this weekend. The Seattle Public Library Urban Self-Reliance series has several FREE! events this weekend to help you get into bike commuting and maintain your bike. There are a couple bat-related events, including one for young folks. There's also a wild plant medicine class and FREE! mushroom identification event.

Here's the round-up of outdoor events this weekend. Of special note: it's National Public Lands Day and a chance to enjoy National Parks for FREE! Also learn about how to deal with deer in your garden or kids can role play as deer and cougars. Check out canoeing and kayaking events. Go for a nature walk or head down to Tacoma for a Myco-Blitz. And on Sunday evening, check out a book club that will discuss "Walden" by Thoreau. Lots of FREE! stuff!
