Fall Foliage Folio #1 (15)
The week of September 13, I went for a hike on Tonga Ridge. Now, some of the WA Trails Association trail reports remark that now that the huckleberries are gone, this trail doesn't have a lot to offer.I'm new to hiking and don't have a lot of expectations, so I enjoyed it. For one, you have a lovely drive in the country out to it, with the fall foliage starting to make an appearance. After some inclines in the start, it evens out to a nice ramble with periodic views. We stopped at a clearing that would be a great spot for a picnic on a dry day.
