Tadpole Edition
Image via Flickr user brian.gratwickeSince this isn't a particularly interactive site, I can't really say this site is in beta, per se. So instead, I am calling this the Tadpole Edition of this site.
What does this mean? It means that this site isn’t quite at its fully-formed stage yet. The individual topic pages are abbreviated or not fully added yet, and the events and resources included are currently mainly featuring on introductory or beginner-levels.
Eventually, I hope to have this site be as robust for its subject matter as Fresh-Picked Seattle is for food events and resources. In order to launch Seattle Natural Selection in time to capture all of the fun events happening this summer, though, I'm starting with a somewhat abbreviated version of the site.
That said, the Calendar is pretty chock-a-block, and since that element is the central feature of the site, I hope you still find Seattle Natural Selection useful even in its adolescent phase. The individual topic resource pages will continue to grow, but for now, if you’re a novice looking to get started in any of these areas, I hope the links included will help serve as a jumping-off point.
If you have suggestions for things that would be useful moving forward, please don’t hesitate to let me know!
